Before and After Updates!

Who said change isn't good? Or if it ain't broke don't fix it?

Well, if everything goes well change is good and fixing something that ain't broke is fantastic! Just see for yourself!

Ongoing:

New roof, new windows, and new decks. We're hoping for a warm winter because we, or rather my hubby would say me, traded a new kitchen for the decks. To me the new entertainment area will only add to our already thousands of memories we've collected over the years.

Such as the the couple of summers I turned the yard into a 3 putt golf course. You can read about that in my Firecrackinmama's World: What's A Mother To Do? but here's a picture of our clubhouse.

The decks were about ten years old here and still in good shape. The guys that originally built it put up framed lattices that were lined with screening around the bottom of the decks to keep the bugs out. This time we are going to get an indoor/outdoor rug for the closed deck to help keep the bugs out.

Unfortunately the tree seen on our golf course was hit by lightning July 14 of some year not too long after this photo. It literally died overnight and had to be removed. I really miss it.

Here are some other shots of the ongoing decks renovations.

Appears as though landscaping will take up the rest of my summer after our vacation. I plan to put a small patio area around the bottom of the steps and of course shrubs around the decks. We'll stay on the small size of shrubs as taking out the others was really a difficult task.

In progress:

If you live in our area keep the Davis Brothers in mind. They are very particular about their work and designs.

Today is cleaning and packing day while the Brothers continue to finish up on our decks. I'm getting more excited as our departure day nears. You can read all about our upcoming cruise in my Firecrackinmama's World: The Countdown Has Begun!

The renovations to the inside of the house will come next, after we save some more money, and don't worry I'll keep you updated on those too.

Meanwhile have a Firecrackin Great Day!!!
